I've been in Jamaica for 2 days now, and yesterday was the first real event of the trip, the Bicycle Bash! It's an amazing bicycle event for locals and anyone else that wants to come.
Stunt riding is big in Jamaica and everyone likes to customize their bikes.
Video and pictures inside,
I arrived in Jamaica on Friday night, spent Saturday doing things like building my bike and going to Scotchies for Jerk Chicken, and drinking Appleton at John Crow's Tavern. Sunday was the first real action of the trip with the Jamaican Bicycle Bash in Oracabessa. This is the Crankworx of Jamaica, and as you can see from the videos they do things a little differently down here. Everyone has a bike, and they use them for everything. There are a lot of custom decorated bikes as well, paint, lights, reflectors, even custom welding jobs.

Bunny Hop Contest
Obstacle Course
Wheely Race
The main part of the Bash is contests. And we're not talking about slopestyle here. There's a basic XC race around town, and an obstacle race that is kind of like speed trials, but there's also stuff like the Rambo Olympics where you have to ride 4 laps of a 200 meter track, second lap you pick up a beer crate, third lap you pick up a propane tank, fourth lap you pick up a weed whacker. So at the finish you're carrying all this stuff and trying to not fall off your bike. There's also a bunny hop contest and a wheely race and a bunch of other fun stuff.
This guy came second in the XC
