Great Britain’s Danny Hart gave us a master class in downhill racing as he demolished the wet Champéry track in a show of dominance not seen here since Hill's infamous run of 2007.
Coming off the back of an amazing 2nd place at the last round of the World Cup in Val di Sole, Hart went one better to cut more than 11 seconds off the time set by silver medalist Damien Spagnolo (FRA)... even finding time to showboat over the last jumps.
I have watch your run from worlds 4 times in a row. I don't understand the physics don't line up. You rode like it you wheels were glue to the ground despite the monsoon. And to top it of you had Rob Warner forgetting his line "Look at the time!" and instead simple stating what all of us where thinking..."What the hell!"
Cheer to you Danny Hart. May you and Gwin continue to push the limit of two wheels.
Some say instead of training he puffs on malboro reds....and that one of his whips can take nearly 12 seconds off a world champs dh run.....all we know is he's called Danny Hart
wow. 10th time watching this. gutted that none of the papers i read on the monday had no mention of a uk national winning a world championship...plenty of poop on cricket and football though. I doubt i will ever see a winning run like danny's ever again, but please prove me wrong, gwin, troy and danny.....next year is your time to prove me wrong, stay injury free this winter train hard and blow us all away with your mad skills. this years racing has been epic with gwin ruling the series and danny's 1 in a million run.

I was the same and live within 20 miles of Danny harts home town, nothing on the local news or in the local papers, such a shame that an amazing win didn't get the coverage it deserves
Great work! i confess i didn't knew danny but he looks so fast! and that whip at the end was sooo rad! defienetely deserved it.(look his left hand at 1:30)
This is probably one of the all time runs in MTB history, a comparison to what the 'others' did on the same corners would illustrate how good this run is. Danny nods as he crosses the line.... he knew what he had just done. It is such a shame that Stevie Smith was injured for this race, it is rare that so many of the top boys are still riding at the end of the season. 2012 could be epic, they all know that Gwin is still getting faster. I seem to remember from watching Dannys run on the day, he only unclipped the once on the track. On a track that is known as a flats track, and in what is considered flats conditions normally, although the lack of roots compared to 2007 might have influenced that.
i don't know why they don't broadcast this sh** on TV, its stupid exciting and entertaining. Way better than those OTHER sports way to go Danny, you crazy mothertrucker
Or the crap like poker on "sports" networks. I was surprised when Sportsnet West had it abbreviated a day later at a mid-day time. Better than nothing but this is PRIMETIME.
in Canada it was actually broadcast live on TSN2 with a commentator named Peter Graves (who was terrible). i was watching on the big screen with the sound off and Warner and Pagey shouting from the laptop!
i am still in awe of how amazing this run was.... not sure how you ride that fast there in the dry let alone as soggy as it was! absolutely the best downhill ride i have ever seen! cheers Danny Hart! keep those whips coming!
Best run i have ever seen. Absolutely insane and can't watch it enough. That said, one of the reason we all love it so much is because of how well and complete the broadcast was. Sam Hill's run in 07 was as good, except the coverage wasn't as good. We saw Danny tear this track apart from top to bottom. Props to Freexaster for that. I hope we can keep seeing events with the same coverage.
He mixed a megawhip up with a begining of table top... when your run is perfect, choosing to do that kind of tricks during one of the last jumps - and no the easiest - is totally crazy!!!! Danny & his Glory = State-of-the-art And the best thing is that he got an incredible pleasure on this f***ing river! :-)))))
Got to love watching how the newer up and coming riders are pushing it. Sam Hill had his day and now it's Danny Hart. While Danny Hart has been amazing to watch, I hope to see Troy Brosnan mixed up with Gwin, Hart, and the vets like GM and Gee.
I think it's just Danny pushing it for the young guns... which makes it impressive, and inspirational, knowing that Gwin is 24 and raising the bar as well because you'd think it'd just be the younger guys ruling the series.
Bryceland is older and with way less impressive results than Hart, Neko isn't even close to being a threat and Mitch is on the same boat. I mean you should have mentioned Troy Brosnan if you wanted to make a point but I'm not trying to insult any of the riders because it is insane they're THAT good at THAT young of an age, but they're hardly doing what Troy or Danny are doing and you've gotta accept that regardless of the popularity of the other riders or what they will probably accomplish with another season under their belt. But hey if we've learned something from this season is that you can never tell who will be on top the next year!

Honestly, they shouldn't produce such ruckus because this isn't really all that surprising... if you think that's an insult, wait until next year and see how many insane runs he will produce just as impressive as this
and if not... no, that'll happen. Man I cannot wait, it's going to be the most exciting season because we are witnessing Danny and Gwin bringning DH to a whole other level...
And if they don't do this already, I think they should post up the "HD" version of all first place runs for every stop because it's awesome seeing friends' reactions that aren't into it so much.
I have been watching this every few days since he won, anyone notice how they chopped the vid so you don't hear Warner say "how does Danny Hart sit down with balls that big?"
W.T.F? sam hills insane mudslide ride was something, this is just on another level, slashing turns, whips, tear offs, total flow,stuck to the ground all out domination.
