 X Marks the spot. If you fail to get to this spot before anyone else you re only winning if you get lucky or if the guy in front of you screws up. That s about 50 meters away. Better hope you have the inside line and sharp elbows.

When your shoes come from Shimano with your name on them you have arrived. Grubby Graves has been getting shoes with his name on them for a while now I reckon.

Joost Wichman came inside on Guido Tschugg here. Not sure how I missed NOT ending up getting run over in the straight following. I guess I owe Guido a beer.

Anneke Beerten with the hole shot in turn one holding on here in turn two. Just out of frame is Katy Curd about to get shut down by Fionn Griffiths.

Take no prisoners. Michal Prokop swept the small final with a wee bit of aggression. He owne the first corner and pretty much shut any door in the corners. Game set and match.

Graves. Pinned. And Crushing the competition. I think it s safe to say that Graves is going to own another WC overall 4X title in La Bresse he s only got a 125 point lead over Roger Rinderknecht but with Windham s 4X out of the series unless Graves fails to qualify at Val di Sole he s the overal winner.

 graves is crazy. they should take scientists to run a bunch of tests and compare his laps to everyone elses and make a documentary out of it. they did that for michael schumacher when he was good and it was pretty interesting.

 I hadn't watched 4X until freecaster started showing it. I just can't get into it, the races are generally over after the firt 20 pedal rotations unless someone falls.

 and only 32 to mens 4x. in leogang for example there have been 64 qualified. seems like europe has a much bigger race scene than the U.S. the guys over there are to busy with fr, dj and slopestyle Big Grin

 Yes, and with no 4X at Windham it's not really economical for a lot of European racers to come to North America for just one race...

 LOL
All that and a bag o' chips proves what? "Scene" doesn't matter, quality does.
$50USD says an American wins Chatel this weekend, oh, AND WC DH too;
Ya'll heard of Aaron Gwin?
Yeah, about that...

 true that but as a spectator i expect more than only 45min of racing. its a worldcup!
yes windham cancelling the 4X was a real neckbreaker for the northamerican tourstops. i doubt they get a second chance next year. the location for next years U.S. tourstop hasn't been announced so far, right?

 Note that Mount Saint Anne is in eastern Canada, but it is true that there is not much of a 4x scene in the US. When I was growing up in the 1980's I could ride my bike to 3 different BMX tracks that held nationally sanctioned races every week. Now it is hard to find an operating BMX race track and you can pretty much forget about local 4x races in most places. As for togood2die's comments about an "American" winning Chatel I hope he is including Canada as part of North America - and even then it is a silly statement. There are incredible riders all over the world.
