Joost Whichman got the holeshot in the mens final and looked to be going for the win, leading for the first half of the race. Unfortunately he crashed in the rock section at about halfway, taking out his teammate Thomas Slavik and letting Roger Rinderknecht and David Graf get past for first and second respectively.
Fastest male qualifier Jared Graves got pushed outside in the first turn of the semi final by Tomas Slavik and didn't advance to the main event. Graves 5th place finish here still keeps him in the overall lead after the first two rounds.
